Depression Recovery Plan (DRPlan)

Depression Recovery Plan (DRPlan)

2014 - 2015 DRPlan and it's progress
Dont GIVE In - DRPlan The Deprssion Recovery Plan was first launched in 2013. At this time we were in our early days and the project itself was premetive. However come late 2013 and the begining of 2014, we began inserting new thoughts and ideas. This project is from the heart and when we included our brains and research to this, it became the ultimate recovery programme.
We have worked day and night to bring forth a very simple, comprehensible plan which is very carefully tailored to each applicants needs.
As a result we have seen a dramatic success rates in this programme. It has been truely fruitfull and satifying. We have helped 5 individuals in the past year. Not only did they overcome the fear of Stigma and seek help but also managed to stick to the DRPlan for the full 5 Weeks and have made full recovery.

DRPlan and how it helps
Many people have asked me this question. "How can you be sure that the DRPlan works? What if it makes things worse. Surely you can't make one plan to suite all!"
Yes, all these questions are very reasonable. No - I am not sure the DRPlan work, Yes - It might make things worse and No- I can't make one plan to suite all.
All these statements are true. However what we can say with confidence is, DRPlan has worked for those who have tried so far - everything has pros and cons, however if it works, then there is nothing to argue about.

Though it might make things worse, a person with deprssion seldom does anything at all. When I had depression I was in college. I never went to college, I hardly slept, I didn't speak to anyone; it took so much effort to even have a shower! Yes that's gross I know. I never told anyone how I felt, and people who saw me just thought I was lazy, seeking attention and so on. There was no help what so ever. DRPlan is gentle in it's own way. It's a treatment, a diet, a friend and a counselor all at the same time. With 24 hour support and little projects to do each week (tailored fully to the individuals likes and dislikes) and helping the applicant to just visit the doctor and talk is much better than nothing.

NO - definitly one plan cannot suite all! Each person is very different. We think differently, we like eating differently, we do things differently, we come from different backgrounds. When there are so many factors to consider, a plan like DRPlan cannot just be "One Size Fits All". This is why, when a person fills an application online, we send out a personal disclosure form.
This will have questions such as
  • What kind of movies do you like?
  • What would you do if you had an entire week to do anything you want?
  • Where do you come from? What about your parents?
  • Do you have any siblings - If so what would you do if you had to stay with your Sibling alone for one month?
  • What would you do if you had no internet?
  • How often do you get out of the house? If you had an option to stay in all day, would you?
  • In the last 2 years have you been to the hospital? If so why and how many times?
  • Do you take any medication?
You get the idea. When someone says they are from a different place, I do a research on the place they come from and then see how much this individual has been saturated in their culture, and how would this affect their recovery?
Each application takes upto 2 weeks to process, all the while, we stay in touch with the applicant and then we send the pack out. A plan completely tailored to them.
People from all age groups can apply and will receive this pack that will help them, deal with stigma, go back to work or school, get over bad break ups, deal with a nasty divorce, deal with being a single parent, deal with dissabilities and live with clinical depression.
The help people with deprssion require is endless, I'd like to think at least we've made the tiniest scratch on the surface.
